Yummy Alpaca and Merino

I bought this colorful merino from Jennifer who lives in Columbus, Ohio. Visit her shop at The Laughing Rat Studio http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7231 I also bought some of the loveliest sachets that I have ever seen/smelled.
If I remember correctly, Jennifer and I first got acquainted through our blogs. I was fascinated that she actually had pet rats. Visit her blog here http://laughingratstudio.blogspot.com/

I thought Jennifer's roving would work perfectly with Polaris's dark fawn fiber. Sorry, Chris, you can't really have it all to yourself.
Can you see in this picture that I held them next to each other as I spun? Polaris sort of overpowers the colors, but they do show through very subtly. I will spin another single the same way and then ply them together. The yarn is amazingly soft.

My life is starting to resemble my old routine of spinning for a couple of hours in the morning, and then again at night while I'm watching t.v.

Looks great..can not wait to see it plyed, I think it will just give the right zip to Polaris's fleece, it does look so soft!

Beautiful yarn, Maple!

Hey...look for Mary and me to show up on your doorstep with our spinning wheels one of these mornings or nights, to join you in a spinning session ;)

Big hugs...

Me to, Me to as she raises her hand high. Some night when the kids aren't dragging me somewhere else...ok...that will not happen in the foreseeable future. I will be spinning with you in spirit though.

Love the little dude (pointed ears, llama? Isn't that what you said to be able to tell them apart) on your spinning wheel.

Spinning can be very soothing. I hope it and a return to your normal routine are a comfort to you.
