Nikki's Wallaby Sweater Finished

We took a trip to Corunna today (after we were sure no alpacas were going to give birth). I took Nik's finished sweater to her ↑ (above with wet hair. I'm sure she really didn't want to pose but being the perfect daughter that she is, never let on). Nik is our oldest daughter, middle kid, and the mom of these two darling grandgirls. I'm mighty proud of the way she and her husband, Bob, are raising these munchkins. They are delightful to have around, and much to my delight, are great animal lovers, although the youngest, Elizabeth, isn't really into mucking stalls like Meredith is.
Nik's sweater is the third Wallaby that I have knitted since March and I think that I'm going to take a break. Feel like I owe Bob one, but egads, he's 6 foot 9 inches tall.

LOL! Popular item, your Wallabies, Maple! :D Well deserved praise.

It's a great, leisure sweater. I'm 'still' waiting on the yarn from my LYS to arrive (on special order) so I can get started on my string of Wallabies for 3 grandkids (tiny ones), and one for myself. The yarn order is for my Toddler grandgirl, Plymouth Encore Worsted Self-striping.

Is Nik's Wallaby the same yarn as the grandgirls?

And yes, Nik is a wonderful good sport to let you get a photo of her, Wallaby and wet hair and all. Of course, when you are young and pretty like her, you can get away with it! ;)

THREE sweaters?? I am agog with admiration, Maple! :) I'm forever running out of steam with one sleeve done or something...

Beautiful job Maple. Guess this means we won't get to see the finished Wallaby at the LYS tonight.

what a beautiful sweater, what pattern did you use, did you knit it out of your alpaca yarn? Love it!!

Great sweater! and I can understand why you wouldn't want to knit one for Bob. :) Love, wife of man who is 6'7" tall.

Love the sweater you made for your daughter.

I thought about you when we drove through your area on the way to Michigan. We actually went up 127 because of a detour to visit a little village with family ties, and to avoid the Zilwaukee Bridge construction. On the way home we stayed to the east to avoid the storms and went through Frankenmuth to avoid the bridge. We were so busy concentrating on the storm activity behind us and the ever-changing clouds around us that I forgot all about wondering where Zeilinger's is. Despite the pending storms, Frankenmuth was quite busy. We stopped long enough in a parking lot outside of town to let the dogs go pottie and then hit the road again. Perhaps on a less hectic trip I'll try to contact you. We go back again in three weeks.
