NutriSystem for Weight Loss??????

Asparagus from my little patch - drizzled with a touch of olive oil, sprinkled with sea salt and a generous amount of pepper, and briefly broiled. Yummy! one of the best parts of spring. I won't eat asparagus canned or frozen or anyone elses because nothing can compare to snapping it off and eating it 20 minutes later.

I'll be talking about food on here for a while 'cause I have ordered the NutriSystem. I've been walking 2 miles every morning and biking a couple every evening and haven't lost weight. Discussing this with DD Terre and she tells me I'm just not eating enough. I hate to take the time to prepare food so the NutriSystem sounds like a good plan for me.

The 30 pound box arrived yesterday from UPS filled with 28 days of food. It's all color coded and labeled Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Desserts, which is now arranged in my cupboard as such. By the way this cost $299.95, including shipping. The food is all in a dry form. For example: last night I had a chicken thing that I just had to zap in the microwave, this a.m. I added water to scrambled eggs and zapped it. So far the food has been tasty.

A little record book came with the meals but I like keeping track at their online site. I record what I eat, weight, measurements, and exercise. They have a community with forums but I've only lurked there a little. So, my friends, you will occasionally be hearing about the program and my progress.

Hi Alpaca Granny,
I saw your post on NS and checked out your blog. What an amazing person you are! I'm an elementary teacher and love critters too! I've been following a baby bird family that decided to roost on my front porch, 1 horse, 2 dogs, 2 rabbits and numerous cats (check out my blogs) A couple of months ago my mom (80 yrs) bought NS for my birthday. What a gift! It has been great, but she went on it too, lost weight, but has decided it's just too much fiber for her system. She was on the silver plan. We also lost my Dad 3 years ago to cancer. He was diagnosed 23 years ago with colon cancer, and beat it then, but it returned. We miss him. I loved your photo of hubby and pony and granddaughter. Your asparagus looks yummy! Where we live in Idaho asparagus grows wild on the canal banks. We went out picking last night. There's nothing like fresh asparagus! Nice to meet you! Your alpacas look so interesting! I'll be following your blog.

Good luck with your fitness plan! You might consider some light weight training too. I used to do nothing but cardio, and didn't see the results I wanted until I added strength training to my program. Toned muscles burn fat more effectively. I love your blog, by the way, and your etsy shop is the model for what I hope to have some day!

Oh, my, that asparagus looks too yummy for words... I signed us up for a CSA (Community Share Agriculture) box this year, to supplement our little tomato patch out front (our neighbors love us, lol), can't wait to start getting fresh veg! Love food diaries. About the only thing that works for me, since I'm lousy about actual dieting... Good to hear NutriSystem tastes good!
