Watercolor Painting

Beth and I decided that it was time to get the watercolors activated so we had a paint date on Tuesday. Chris had send us some lovely Vermont pictures and I asked permission to use them for painting. Above is my interpretation of his picture on the left. To thank him for letting us use them, I sent him a little 5X7 of birches along a road.

My work in progress at the bottom is from the sheep photo that Chris sent. Of course, I am changing the sheep to alpacas. They are white here because I masqued them out to paint my background.

13. I can leave my watercolors and stuff all over the kitchen while I am working/playing/creating. For days, if I want.

Nice Job Monet! I like how the alpaca scene is coming along! I put in the sweeping, fall colored branches in my Vermont picture and like them very much! The road is giving me fits however! Maybe you can help me figure something out....Thanks Chris for providing the GREAT landscapes! I'll try to email you the one I'm doing when I finish it. Would LOVE to leave all my paint stuff in the kitchen too, but know better with my kids/husband. Got a ton of cleaning done today since I was home with John (post oral surgery). The rainy weather motivated me even more! See you soon!

Your paintings are beautiful! I admire your use of watercolors. I am better with thicker paints so I can paint over the bits that I don't like. I really admire the use of the negative space you did. Gorgeous!
